New fast-casual restaurant by P.F. Chang's, Pagoda Asian Grill, is now open in west St. Pete
/A new fast-casual restaurant by Arizona-based P.F. Chang’s has debuted in west St. Pete.
Pagoda Asian Grill held a grand opening celebration on Saturday at 1550 66th Street North.
The new concept is P.F. Chang’s answer to chains such as Chipotle or Cava, offering counter-service and take-out.
Diners can build a bowl or wrap by first selecting a base (white rice, brown rice, or soba noodles), choosing one of five protein options (grilled chicken, sriracha chicken, grilled steak, bulgogi steak, or roasted vegetables), picking out as many toppings as desired from a list of 17 options, and then finishing it off with one of eight sauces.
Toppings include selections like charred cauliflower, corn, Asian kimchi, baby bok choy, onions, and pineapple.
The sauces vary from sweet to spicy like the Thai peanut sauce and teriyaki to Korean barbeque and black pepper sauce.
The combinations are practically limitless with over 1 billion possible options.
For the less decisive, Pagoda Asian Grill has five chef-inspired bowls and wraps, such as the Korean BBQ Steak Bowl served with bulgogi steak, caramelized onions, red bell pepper, pickled red cabbage, a kimchi spread, and topped with Korean BBQ Sauce.
There is also a Thai Peanut Chicken bowl or wrap with grilled chicken, fresh romaine lettuce, red bell pepper, carrots, pickled cucumber, peanuts and topped with Thai peanut dressing, togarashi spice and cilantro.
Pagoda Asian Grill also offers pork egg rolls and wonton chips to compliment its bowls and wraps.
The west St. Pete outpost is the company’s third location and the first in Florida. Pagoda Asian Grill also has locations in Central Valley, NY and McKinney, TX.
Pagoda Asian Grill is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
