71-unit affordable housing community breaks ground at former Ed White Hospital site in North Kenwood

The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) marked a significant milestone in addressing affordable housing needs for seniors with the groundbreaking of a new residential project at 2323 9th Avenue North in North Kenwood.

The project, dubbed the Edward White Campus, a nod to the former Edward White Hospital that operated at the property, is set to be transformed into a six-story, 121,000-square-foot affordable housing complex.  

The campus will house three facilities including: the Gemini Senior Living Community, the St. Petersburg Housing Authority Central Office, and Evara Health.

Plans filed and renderings revealed for 49-story Waldorf Astoria Residences

New details and preliminary renderings have been revealed for a proposed five-star hotel-branded luxury condominium tower planned for 150 2nd Avenue South in downtown St. Pete.  

Last month, the owners of the 12-story City Center office building sent a notice to its tenants that they were exploring redevelopment opportunities for the building’s six-story parking garage. The office building would not be impacted by the redevelopment.

It was later reported that the owners were planning a luxury condominium tower branded under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts name as the Waldorf Astoria Residences St. Petersburg.

The Blend’s menu features traditional drip coffee, iced coffee, and cold brew, as well as a diverse selection of espresso-based drinks, including lattes, americanos, macchiatos, and mochas. Customers can also choose from over 25 flavored syrups.

New mixed-use tower being planned for site of 12-story office building in downtown St. Pete

A prime parcel in downtown St. Petersburg could soon be redeveloped, according to a notice sent to tenants of the City Center office building at 100 2nd Avenue South.

The 12-story office building is owned through a joint venture by City Office REIT, Feldman Equities, and Tower Realty Partners. The owners recently announced plans for a multi-million dollar renovation to City Center’s atrium lobby, entrances, and landscaping.

The 242,115-square-foot Class A office building sits on nearly a full city block fronting 2nd Avenue South between 1st Street and 2nd Street. The parcel is located in Downtown Center-1 (DC-1) zoning which allows for intense mixed-use development and a maximum floor area ratio (FAR) of 7.0 with no height restrictions.
