Topgolf St. Pete nears completion, prepares to open next month

The high-anticipated Topgolf facility in St. Petersburg’s Carillon office park is nearing completion and has set a tentative opening date of June 30th.
The entertainment complex is under construction at 220 Carillon Parkway North on a 12-acre parcel owned by RealtyLink, LLC, a full-service real estate development company that has developed several Topgolf facilities.
Topgolf St. Pete was announced in 2019 and began construction in 2022.
For the uninitiated, Topgolf is sports entertainment complex that features a high-tech golf game, a full-service restaurant and bar, and event space.
The game itself is essentially a driving range game where players try to hit a golf ball into large targets. Each golf ball is equipped with a microchip that tracks how far the ball has travelled and how close it is to a target. The closer the ball is to a target, the more points the player earns.
Topgolf currently has over 80 venues around the world including several in Florida with locations in Brandon, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Fort Myers.
With the help of our friends at AB3 Visuals, we took some drone photography of the progress on Topgolf St. Pete, which shows the exterior building and installation of the massive fencing structure largely complete.
Interior build-out and the installation of the vast synthetic turf area remains in progress.
The 67,000 square foot facility is three stories with over 100 all-weather, climate-controlled golfing bays. The facility also features a restaurant and bar along with rooftop terraces and a fire pit. The ground floor features roll-up garage doors that overlook a landscaped green area.
According to several job postings, Topgolf St. Pete began hiring staff a few weeks ago.
Once open to the public at the end of June, Topgolf St. Pete’s hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 am and Friday through Saturday from 9:00 am 1:00 am.
