Bacon Bitch to bring back-talking breakfast and brunch to the ‘Burg

Bacon Bitch will be located at 1120 Central Avenue, formerly home to Bodega on Central

Bacon Bitch, a breakfast and brunch concept with an attitude, will be landing in the EDGE District soon. Miami-based Queens Hospitality has just signed a lease to occupy the former Bodega on Central space at 1124 Central Avenue.

The full-service restaurant, whose only other location opened on South Beach in 2017, will serve a classic American breakfast and brunch inspired by a love for bacon.

If the Miami location is any indication, Bacon Bitch in St. Pete will be just as much an experience as a meal. The space looks like it was made for social media. You feel like you’re at a high-end lounge with neon lights and eclectic decorations that will make it impossible to not pull out your phone and snap a few shots.

Also, don’t be surprised if you are greeted with a “Hey bitch!” when you walk through the front door. To the folks at Bacon Bitch, it’s a sign of endearment and part of the experience.

The Miami Bacon Bitch has two additional Queens Hospitality concepts adjacent – a bar named Drunk Bitch and an NYC grunge club hidden behind a bookshelf called Shh… Secret Lounge. We are not able to confirm whether Drunk Bitch or Shh… will be opening alongside Bacon Bitch in St Pete.

The Queens croissant Sandwich - bacon, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese

The star of the show at Bacon Bitch are the croissant sandwiches, which are priced between $11-15. The best seller is the Queens, which is your standard breakfast sandwich, and consists of bacon, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese.

The other seven croissant sandwiches have a little more imagination. The Boujee is smashed avocado, bacon, tomato, radish, fried egg, and bitch sauce. The Noche is honey ham, swiss cheese, bacon, pickles, caramelized onions, and bitch sauce.

Besides the croissant sandwiches, Bacon Bitch offers a Naked Bitch menu featuring items like chicken and waffles for $20, and a classic American breakfast of fried eggs, bacon, and mini pancakes for $15. There are also healthier options available such as the Fit, an egg white omelet, and the Skinny, a platter of smoked salmon, fried eggs, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a croissant for $13.

The Side Bitch menu features homemade silver dollar pancakes, melted cheddar cheese stuffed hash browns, Nutella stuffed French toast, and a fresh baked croissant with jelly and butter.

Just starting your day? Wake up with Bacon Bitch’s cafecito, cortadito, colada, or café con leche. Or you can wash down your bacon brunch with fresh squeezed orange juice and lemonade.

Queens Hospitality was founded by Chris Viso, who grew up in the neighborhood of Floral Park in Queens, NY. When Chris was a kid, he would always start his days with a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant from his neighborhood bodega. Bacon Bitch is an ode to those bodegas, but dialed up to 11.

In 2018, Queens Hospitality announced franchising opportunities for Bacon Bitch, but it’s unclear whether the St. Pete outpost will be locally-owned or corporate-owned.

For the bacon lovers and Instagrammers in St. Pete, Bacon Bitch will be your sanctuary seven days a week from 8AM to 6PM. An opening date is still to be determined. Be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
