Ohio-style pizza has made its way to St. Pete without the cold weather and heavy snowfall. The Ohio Pizza Parlor (O.P.P.) opened last month at 7224 Central Avenue and is satisfying pizza cravings for thin, crispy crust with edge-to-edge toppings.

The Ohio Pizza Parlor’s location, which is minutes from the Treasure Island Causeway, makes a trip to the beach that much more enjoyable. Diners can choose from one of the eleven specialty pies or they can build their own with O.P.P.’s premium or super premium toppings.

Spicy Meatball Pizza - red sauce, sliced meatballs, red onion, roasted red pepper, topped with fresh basil

Pizza from Ohio is unique in its presentation and taste. The pizza is round, but the pieces are cut into small squares with toppings, cheese, and sauce extending all the way to the edge of the pizza. The crust is ultra-thin, closer to resembling a cracker than a traditional pizza crust.

O.P.P.’s signature pizza selections include both fresh and flavorful ingredients. Go with a classic by ordering The OG made with red sauce, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and a mound of mozzarella on top.

For those who enjoy pineapple on pizza (you monster!), the Pineapple Express includes red sauce with thick cut bacon, fresh jalapeño, pineapple, and cream cheese.

A non-meat option can be found in The Vegtastic Voyage featuring white sauce with spinach, red onion, marinated tomatoes, charred artichoke, and a sprinkle of feta.

Or you can get creative and build your own 12” or 16” pizza by choosing from four homemade sauces and premium toppings such as green olives, sweet Italian sausage, marinated tomatoes, and spinach. Super premium toppings include charred sweet corn, spicy meatballs, Granny Smith apples, and Boar’s Head bourbon ham.

Pepperoni rolls - fluffy dough stuffed with pepperoni and Mozzarella served with housemade marinara for dipping

Not in the mood for pizza? Try one of O.P.P’s signature salads. The Italian Goods features spinach with fresh mozzarella, marinated tomato, roasted red pepper, pepperoni, red onion, and artichoke with basil vinaigrette. The Sweet and Spicy incorporates local Brick Street Farm’s spring mix along with shaved Italian blend, Granny Smith apples, red onion, bacon, and toasted walnuts covered in peppercorn vinaigrette.

The only side item offered is pepperoni rolls made of delicious fluffy dough stuffed with pepperoni and mozzarella served with housemade marinara for dipping.

To drink, choose from cans of sodas, sweet tea, and Yoo-Hoo.

The Ohio Pizza Parlor focuses primarily on carryout and delivery orders, but there are about ten seats for diners to chill with a drink and a pizza.
