Sundial St.Pete Releases Few Details
One of the biggest mysteries surrounding Sundial St.Pete is whether or not its tenant lineup will create a shopping and dining destination. In its heyday, Baywalk was a booming shopping center with bustling shops and restaurants but controversy sunk the retail complex and brought vacancy rates close to 90%. Sundial St.Pete hopes revive the shopping center and give it new glory. I'm confident that Bill Edwards will bring a strong tenant list to- once again- make the complex a top destination. Recently the Tampa Bay Times revealed that a Marilyn Monroe spa and possibly a Ruth's Chris Steak House will be among the tenants in Sundial. Joining these two tenants are the return of Chico's and White House Black Market. According to store websites, White House Black Market will be opening April 2014 while Chico's while open March 2014. Whether these dates are accurate remains to be seen. Additionally the Tampa Bay Times reported that Diamonds Direct could be a tenant, but they neither confirmed nor denied that rumor.
When more tenants are announced we will begin to see the vision Bill Edwards has for Sundial. But from these initial tenants it looks like he will try to recreate Sundial as an upscale location. Let's hope Sundial won't keep us waiting too much longer.
